These McDavid Padded Roller Derby Shorts are lighter and less bulky than other padded shorts. They were designed specifically for roller derby and cut to fit under your derby skirt or shorts. The ¼ inch HexPads protect your hips in front and your tailbone in the back, without the extra bulk. Additional butt padding helps with bruising (sometimes we'd rather be safe than kicka$$, right?). The diamond-shaped crotch means there's no center seam (woo hoo!) and there's a small inside hip pocket that's perfect for stashing your mouthguard when you're not skating. Compression fabric (80% nylon, 20% spandex) and a snug fit helps prevent chafing and muscle pulls. These are machine washable in cool/warm water with a mild detergent. For durability, hang them to dry. Note that they do seem to run a bit small.
